Manage today's pressures and strengthen trust-wide oversight

Discuss the support your trust needs

Tell us where your team needs specialist input. We can discuss how outsourced DPO support would work with your central team and school data protection leads.

The platform behind your DPO service

GDPRiS combines named DPO expertise with a structured compliance system, giving MAT leaders visibility, consistency and evidence across every school.

We use the GDPRiS platform to organise your service, bringing relevant records, advice and follow-up actions together. This is how we keep the work coordinated and evidenced, with guidance for your team on the information and actions needed.

Alongside answering individual questions, your DPO helps you identify recurring issues, prioritise action and review progress. This ongoing approach helps your trust control risk, demonstrate accountability and strengthen its compliance position over time.

Clear evidence for leadership and governance

Your DPO helps you look beyond individual incidents and requests to understand priorities across your trust. Leaders and trustees can review:

Risks requiring attention

The issues identified across your schools and where specialist input is needed.

Advice and decisions

What has been recommended and the decisions recorded in response.

Actions and progress

What remains open and where follow-up is needed.

Governance evidence

The records needed to support scrutiny and reporting.

This gives your leadership team a clearer basis for setting priorities, asking informed questions and reviewing how data protection is being managed.

For a single school or a growing trust, we work with your central team and school data protection leads to agree how issues are raised, information is shared and actions are followed up.

Frequently asked questions

What is included in the outsourced DPO service?

Your external DPO provides ongoing advice and compliance monitoring, with support for incidents, information rights requests, impact assessments, policies and processing records. We agree the scope in your service agreement, so you know what support is included and which activities need to be separately agreed.

How does the service work across multiple schools?

We work with your central team and school data protection leads to agree how issues are raised and followed up. The GDPRiS platform brings relevant records together, helping your DPO review issues across schools and identify where a shared approach or targeted support is needed.

What will our team still need to do?

Your school or trust retains responsibility for its data and operational decisions. Your team shares relevant information, raises issues and completes agreed actions. We provide the specialist DPO advice and monitoring, with clear working responsibilities agreed so your staff know when and how to involve us.

Will we need to manage the platform ourselves?

We use the platform to organise and evidence your DPO service, and guide your team on the information and actions needed. You can access relevant advice and records through that shared structure. You do not need to build a separate DPO function to coordinate the service.

Can you support us during an ICO enquiry?

Yes. Under the fully outsourced service, your DPO acts as a point of contact with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) and supports you with enquiries, investigations and follow-up actions. We help you understand the issues and relevant evidence, within the scope of your service agreement.

What support needs to be separately agreed?

Additional support can include onsite visits, training, policy development and redaction work. We will confirm which activities are included in your package and which require a separate agreement, so you can plan the support your school or trust needs and understand the scope before proceeding.

How do we get started?

Discuss your trust structure, current pressures and priorities with a DPO specialist. We will talk through the scope of support, working arrangements and onboarding. If you have a live incident or urgent request, raise it at the outset so we can discuss the immediate support available.
